Emily Penderhest, VA:My name is Emily Penderghest.  I am owned by Kyrie, an Australian Cattle Dog; Obysdian, a German Shepherd; and two cats.  I am originally from Decatur, Ill, but now resided in Bloomington, IN.  I am currently attending Purdue Iniversity to obtain my Veterinary Technician license.  In my free time, I am either studying or playing with my puppies.  The kittens get their enjoyment out of laying across my school books while I'm studying.  I throughly enjoy working with the wide variety of animals that Hillview services but am especially fond of the reptiles and exotic mammals.  Why do I love my job?  Well, at what other job could I say, "Today I helped clean a bat's teeth, put steel pins in the broken wing of an eagle, bottle feed a baby possum, and place a feeding tube in a snapping turtle?"  For someone who has a passion for animals and enjoys working with peope who have the same passion, there could not be a better job out there.
